It is our pleasure to welcome you to our practice. We are two board-certified dermatologists who are dedicated to the highest standards of patient care and dermatologic excellence. We work with our patients to make sure they are informed about their conditions, their treatment options, and all dermatologic procedures. Our priorities are serving our patients’ needs and helping them achieve quality results with realistic goals.

FACILITY: Our office is located at 60-40 Marathon Parkway Douglaston, New York. It is a free-standing professional building with spacious comfortable examination rooms and fully equipped state-of-the-art treatment rooms. All of our examinations and procedures are performed here. The building does have a ramp for wheel-chair accessibility.

HOURS: Our office is open to see patients regularly Monday through Friday. Monthly Saturday appointments are also available.

APPOINTMENTS: We schedule appointments for routine office visits, full skin examinations, and various surgical and diagnostic procedures. We request that patients be as specific as possible about the reason for their visit when booking an appointment so we can best anticipate how much time should be reserved. This may help to minimize waiting time, which can be so stressful and frustrating for patients, doctors, and staff. Of course, there are unforeseen circumstances that cause delays in our schedule. We advise patients to call our office ahead of their appointment time to see how we are running and to get a realistic time frame to avoid delays and other scheduling conflicts.

INSURANCE: Drs. Yasemim Osman and Fiona Blanco participate in several specific insurance plans. “Participation” means that our office submits claims for each visit electronically, and payment is sent directly to our office from the insurance company. Patients are responsible for providing accurate insurance information via a current insurance card, all necessary referrals or paper work from their referring physician, and any co-payment or deductible at the time of each service.

Our office deals very efficiently with all insurance plans via a sophisticated, state-of-the-art computer system, electronic transmission of accurately coded services and diagnoses, and immediate availability of computer-generated insurance forms for patient use. We welcome all patients regardless of their insurance coverage to see our doctors on a fee-for-service basis; most patients (except in limited HMO plans) have out-of-plan options and obtain partial reimbursement for medical or surgical visits. Patients are given a completed insurance form to submit to their carrier to obtain their own reimbursement directly. Cosmetic procedures are not reimbursed by insurance.
